Freeview | HD DVB-T Terrestrial receiver HDTV
Freeview Satellite DVB-S receiver
You can use this receiver only in NZ’s main centres and in situations where one can currently get an analogue signal of the Maori and Prime TV channels. There are going to be many viewers in the cities who can’t get any reception and these people should use the DVB-S service. Our receiver is the most sensitive on the market and even though the signal on the analogue may be “snowy”, our receiver delivers crystal clear pictures. The benefits of Terrestrial service is that the quality will be superior with vertical resolutions of 720 and 1080pixels being broadcast. However to get the benefit of these higher resolutions on needs a large widescreen Plasma or LCD screen which is capable of displaying these resolutions and with a HDMI input. Dont buy small TV’s - you will be disappointed. 37 - 42” should be the average size and 46”+ even better. 8 TV ch’s available as of 2 April on Freeview | HD with 2 radio channels. Trackside is coming soon. Currently Olympics replays and Paralympics on Sports extra.
You can use this receiver anywhere in NZ where you can setup a Satellite dish with a clear view of the Nth Western sky. The receiver can connect to an unused SKY dish and receive the 12 channels of Freeview service currently being broadcast. These receivers are cheaper than the DVB-T receivers. The vertical resolution output is 576 pixels. Large LCD screens 42” -50” can upscale the signals on these receivers very satisfactorily. Two new channels started on the 29th and 30th March. These are Te Reo and TVNZ 7. TVNZ 6 and Cue TV have been running from early this year.. 12 TV ch’s available and it is possible to tune in 8 radio channels, with some of these, off the Sky frequencies. Currently Olympics replays and Paralympics on Sports extra. This channel along with &TVNZ 6 and TVNZ 7 are not on SKY or conventional Analogue TV.
